Winged Victory of Samothrace - OriginalOriginal watercolor painting based off the statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, also known as the Goddess of Nike. I was so moved by the statue when I went to see it at the Louvre in Paris that I just had to paint it. Traditionally painted watercolor art piece on 9x12" hot pressed watercolor paper. One of my older and still favorite painting, but I'm finally ready to let go of it. Done in 2015. Please note the original has more hints of blue,
